Adult & Community Education

County Wexford VEC »Adult & Community Education

Co. Wexford VEC has a commitment to lifelong learning and provides a wide range of full-time and part-time educational opportunities for adults across the county.

The Adult and Community Education Service works closely in partnership with relevant local, regional and national voluntary and community organisations and statutory agencies and is involved in a wide variety of projects and initiatives.

Now more than ever people are thinking about education options; learning a new skill or doing a course to keep busy over the next few months. One thing is certain a new skill learned is a skill for life that you can use to help you find work, further your career options or for personal fulfilment.

When people are returning to learning they worry that they won’t fit in, that they won’t understand, that they will make a fool of themselves or that the course will not interest them. Our advice is to meet the course co-ordinator, talk to others who have returned to education and go for it!!

Be assured that our tutors are all experienced in working with adults and have a wealth of knowledge and understanding.

In Co. Wexford we have recently established 3 Adult Learning Centres where the whole range of opportunities is available to the public under one roof. They are

Bunclody Adult Learning Centre – 053 93 77326

Gorey Adult learning Centre – 053 94 21791

New Ross Adult Learning Centre – 051 425034

In addition to these centres we have a range of programmes available around the county – please browse the list on the left and see what interests you.

When planning for a decade plant trees,
When planning for life train and educate people”
